Spiral Afan

IMG_3532.JPG
I’ve been trying to work on a design for the ‘Fire Blanket’ that uses lots of squares made up of spirals. However now that I’ve figured this out I’ve decided to just continue going around and making one huge spiral afghan . As it progresses I’m finding that due to the increases being stacked on top of each other the spiral is taking on an Heptagonal shape due to the ten increases. The Yarn of choice is a lovely soft Aran yarn, and with the Backpost Trebles picking up the top stitch row from beneath, it’s turning out to be half an inch thick!
